Glossary
A
AttrakDiff™ is an instrument for measuring the attractiveness of an interactive product. Users (or potential users) can, with the aid of pairs of opposite adjectives, indicate how they experience your product.
Attractiveness (ATT)
Subjective judgement of the attractiveness of a product. It is a matter of global rating on the basis of quality perception.

Comparison of two Products
Two products are rated by test participants using AttrakDiff™ and their results are compared. In this way you obtain a comparative overview of how differently your customers perceive the two products.
Comparison before - after
A product is evaluated twice by several test participants, e.g. before and after the implementation of changes. A quick and detailed overview is delivered providing informing you of the effects of the changes made.
Confidence Interval
Unfortunately, not all users can be involved in the evaluation of a product. We usually have to make do with a limited number of selected users. One can therefore never be 100% sure that those users are truly representative. It is possible that the results of an evaluation by the selected users could differ from that of the actual collective users if it were possible to ask them all. The confidence interval is a statistically probable area that indicates the "true" value that one would acquire were one to ask all the users.
Confidence Rectangle
The confidence right angle is formed by the dimensions PQ and HQ of the confidence intervals. The portfolio presentation indicates how certain one can be that the average of the dimensions of the marked character correspond. A small confidence rectangle is always an advantage because it means that the opinions expressed in response to your investigation apply more likely to the product. The confidence rectangle also reflects to what extent the users were at one with the rating of the product. The bigger the confidence rectangle the less at one the users were in the rating of your product.
D
Dimensions
AttrakDiff™ evaluates your project in terms of four dimensions. Pragmatic quality (PQ), hedonic quality - identity (HQ - I), hedonic quality - stimulation (HQ - S) and attractiveness (ATT).
H
Hedonic Quality (HQ)
Indicates to what extent the functions of a product enhance the possibilities of the user, stimulate him or communicate a particular identity (e.g. by creating a professional, cool, modern or any other impression). Hedonic quality is divided into two sub-qualities, namely identity and stimulation.
Hedonic Quality - Identity (HQ - I)
Indicates how well a user identifies with the product.
Hedonic Quality - Stimulation (HQ - S)
Mankind has an inherent need to develop and move forward. This dimension of hedonic quality indicates the extent to which a product supports these needs by offering novel, interesting and stimulating functions, contents, interactions and styles of presentation.
P
Portfolio Presentation
By means of a graphic portfolio presentation you can observe how your product was rated on pragmatic and hedonic quality.
Project Progress
You can keep track of the progress being made by logging in with your access data at any time under Login Project Administration and choose a project.
